An interpreter translates orally. A consecutive or conversational interpreter does not translate simultaneously like a conference interpreter, but is present with two parties and takes turns translating what is said. I interpret from Arabic to Dutch and vice versa.\n\n<br><br>\n\nI worked as an interpreter at the CGRS (General Commission for Refugees and Stateless Persons)in Brussels and I am also a sworn interpreter for the Belgian judicial services: Police inspectors, investigating magistrates, judges, lawyers. I interpret physically and remotely.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1bff628 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1bff628\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\"> What is a court interpreter ?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-22ed581 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"22ed581\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA court interpreter is a translator who swore the oath before the president of the Court of Appeal of his judicial district.\n\nThe court interpreter\/translator intervenes at all stages of court proceedings (in court, pre-trial, as well as police interrogations).\n\nIt involves interpreting in the field, during the interrogation, at the hearing or in contacts with the lawyer.\n\n<br><br>\nA court interpreter\/translator is bound by a code of ethics.
